01What platforms will Eclipsis Online be on?

Windows / macOS / Linux via the custom Eclipsis Launcher or Steam. One account, all platforms.

02Is the game free to play after launch?

The game will always be F2P. Ongoing support is funded by optional cosmetic purchases only.

03Is there pay-to-win?

Never. Microtransactions are cosmetics only — avatars, ship skins, titles. No power, no progression, no gameplay advantage for money, ever.

04Will my alpha/beta progress carry over?

Alpha and beta may include character or server wipes as systems change; full launch progression is persistent. Wipes will always be announced in advance.

05What if the campaign doesn't reach its goal?

Development continues regardless — the foundation already works: you can log in, fly, and explore the galaxy today. What the campaign funds is the game on top of it — combat, progression, world interaction, and content that turn a working galaxy into a memorable one.

06What can I actually do in the game right now?

The core loop is live: fly fully 3D ships, warp between star systems, use partial ship systems like power management, scanning and fittings.

07How do you handle cheating and exploits?

The server is authoritative — clients can't move credits, fake cargo, or edit their ships. Ownership and transactions mutate only through atomic internal transactions, and the launcher version gate keeps outdated or tampered clients off the servers.

08Will there be wipes of the universe itself?

The baked universe is permanent by design — the seed never changes once deployed. New galaxies and systems are append-only, so the galaxy you learn is the galaxy that stays.

09Is the game on Steam?

Currently under review.

10Where can I follow development?

Everywhere: our website (eclipsisonline.com), our Discord (discord.eclipsisonline.com), and right inside the game — the main menu and changelog panel show every release with build notes.

The launcher keeps you informed too, so you never miss a dev update, no matter where you follow us.

11What makes this different from other space MMOs?

No pay-to-win — ever. Real money buys cosmetics only. Every credit, ship, and starbase was earned by playing. (Compare to others who convert real money into in-game power.)

Roadmap votes and a direct line to the team on Discord. The players won't just play Eclipsis — they'll also have a chance to decide how it grows.
